One of Bitwarden's goals is to make sure that you can access your vault on every device that you use. After all, a password manager is useless if you can't actually get to your passwords when and where you need them.
Bitwarden has always had great support across many different web browsers:
, and Tor have all been well supported through our browser extension. However, one browser has always eluded us: Apple's Safari browser. Safari uses a different extensions API than all other browsers so supporting it is somewhat difficult. Our macOS friends have been a bit disappointed and have been asking for Bitwarden to support Safari for quite some time now.
Today we're happy to announce the official release for Bitwarden on Safari!
