- Introducing Bitwarden Access Intelligence: Empower your teams with proactive enterprise security protection
Hackers don’t hack, they log in. Enterprises need solutions that help them recognize credential risks and take immediate action before it’s too late.
Today, Bitwarden is launching Access Intelligence, a new offering that protects enterprises from critical threats and addresses both sides of the security equation: Risk Insights strengthens internal defenses by flagging and fixing vulnerable credentials, and Advanced Phishing Blocker provides protection from external threats by blocking malicious websites.
Risk Insights for Access Intelligence alerts administrators to proactively identify, prioritize, remediate, and monitor credential risks before they escalate and provides end-user tools for resolution.
From the Risk Insights dashboard, IT teams can:
Identify at-risk credentials
Get a clear view into your organization’s credential-related security posture by reporting on all applications that have logins stored in Bitwarden alongside associated at-risk passwords.
Prioritize critical applications
Select applications with high-risk factors and prioritize them on the Risk Insights dashboard. This ensures critical applications are protected first with robust and unique credentials that resist brute force attacks.
Send automated alerts for fast risk resolution
Alert employees when they have at-risk credentials associated with critical applications. Alerts are sent directly to employees via the Bitwarden extension and email.
Initiate remediation workflows
Employees are prompted to fix weak passwords, ensuring swift resolutions to security risks. Bitwarden automatically redirects employees to the associated change password form for that application and suggests a randomly generated new password.
Monitor actions and security improvements
Validate security improvements and substantiate their password management investment by tracking changes in the dashboard.

Advanced Phishing Blocker for Access Intelligence alerts users to known phishing sites and redirects them to a secure Bitwarden notification page, preventing sensitive information from being mistakenly entered on malicious sites and ensuring users only interact with safe and trusted sites.
When a user navigates to a known phishing site, the Bitwarden browser extension will automatically detect this site, alert the user, and exit the page. Bitwarden uses Phishing.Database, a regularly updated open source repository, to identify and block phishing links. Future product releases will offer IT admins visibility into phishing risks across the organization and potential targeted phishing attacks.

Security tools play a crucial role in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities, but the human element remains essential to achieving true protection. Bitwarden Access Intelligence equips IT teams with advanced solutions to prevent unauthorized access related to at-risk credentials, and also empowers employees — those who are most actively using critical applications — to be vigilant and take an active role in securing their own credentials and avoiding phishing sites.

Understanding the most critical applications that keep your business running requires a structured, risk-based approach, especially when companies take an average of 197 days to identify a breach, according to IBM.
While all applications need strong and unique credentials, enterprise customers identify billing, payroll, e-commerce, supply chain applications as their highest priorities due to operational, compliance, and revenue impact. With Bitwarden Access Intelligence, enterprises select what’s most important to them and ensure they’re protected with policy-compliant credentials. This targeted approach addresses alert fatigue that causes security teams to ignore 30% of alerts (IDC), enabling faster response times to critical vulnerabilities before a data breach occurs.
Bitwarden Access Intelligence is now available in limited preview for enterprise customers. New customers can start a free business trial and contact sales for a virtual demo.
