Senior Full Stack Engineer (Admin Console)

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on the Admin Console team at Bitwarden, you will be responsible for building and supporting enterprise applications and integrations to manage user provisioning and deprovisioning, access controls, policies, observability, and other administrative functionality. This position will be primarily front-end focused and we will be prioritizing front-end skills and experience. However, you are expected to have some familiarity with back-end work and to be comfortable working on the server when needed.

We’re looking for someone who will thrive in a growing organization with a strong collaborative focus. You will have the opportunity to take ownership over key areas of our product, providing direction for future changes, and scoping out work to bring exciting new features to our users while maintaining overall code quality and maintainability.

This is an all-remote team, and we are looking for someone based in the U.S. We do not offer visa sponsorship at this time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become a full-stack expert and authority on Admin Console owned code within our codebases
  • Front-end responsibilities primarily target the web application, but can also stretch into working with the desktop client, CLI, browser extension, and Directory Connector client as required
  • Back-end responsibilities include our APIs (private and public), and databases (MSSQL and Entity Framework)
  • Participate in hands-on development of new features and refactors
  • Participate in code reviews, learning, and spreading technical knowledge
  • Independently plan, estimate and deliver new feature work and bug fixes
  • Occasionally contribute to bug fixes submitted by the user community

WHAT YOU BRING TO BITWARDEN

  • Expertise in developing complex applications in Angular
  • Expertise with reactive programming using Signals, RxJS or similar libraries
  • Experience with reusable component libraries and Tailwind CSS
  • Expertise in developing .NET services and libraries in C# including WebAPI and MVC
  • Experience with writing and modifying SQL database schemas and queries
  • Collaborative and adaptable mindset
  • Openness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skills
  • Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and for better internet security 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solution
  • Familiarity with directory services for maintaining our Directory Connector application
  • Familiarity with Rust for contributions to our internal SDK
  • Familiarity with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and implementing accessible experiences
  • Familiarity with Python with regards to existing SIEM integrations

In the United States, the starting base compensation range for this role is $140,000 - $200,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, relevant experience, and skill set as assessed in the interview process, as well as market data by location. See our careers page for a list of benefits. Please note that compensation outside the U.S. will differ based on the market.
