New from Bitwarden: Measure credential risks over time with Access Intelligence

published :

Bitwarden Access Intelligence, the app-centric enterprise feature for identifying and taking action on credential risks, now measures change in risk over time with a new report visualization. This gives IT, security teams, and leadership the historical context they need for informed decision-making. With this update, Bitwarden continues its commitment to helping organizations reduce credential risk and data breach exposure.

Access Intelligence reporting on risk over time

Monitor application, password, and user-specific risks over time

This new visualization measures risk over time and is available from the Access Intelligence activity tab, offering multiple views into an organization’s risk trends.

  • Choose your view: Monitor risks by Application, Item, or Members over time based on the metrics that make the most sense for your organization.

  • Select your time intervals: Identify specific risk events with weekly increments or opt for more generalized monthly views.

  • Download or share live: Showcase progress to others with a downloaded .csv or with a generated graphic that can be placed into presentations or update emails to leadership.

Report on real business impact

Access Intelligence helps IT teams drive and measure impact on the business’s bottom line. In addition to identifying, prioritizing, and eliminating critical credential risks, Bitwarden Access Intelligence helps organizations protect against costly data breaches, demonstrate ROI, and establish a stronger security culture.

With the new risk over time view, IT teams can demonstrate strategic improvements to organization-wide credential security with measurable KPIs and metrics, offering key insights that can quantify the return on investment in password management and validate the company’s effort.

A look at the numbers

According to the IBM Cost of a Data Breach Report, each record leaked during a data breach costs the company an average of $173. If an organization fixed 300 credential risks in the past year, that is over $50,000 saved, not to mention the cost of legal representation, unavailable systems, ransom, and damage to the brand’s reputation.
